Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish actor and model. She was born on 11th November 1966. Alison Doody first made a movie debut as an actress and Bond model with the film A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. She played Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donevan is in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) were other characters. Doody started modelling after she was approached. It turned out to be a profitable career. Doody was averse to glamour and nude modeling, which that she incorporated into her acting. Doody was a voice actor in the 1987 TV version of The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in the movie of his dreams. The first time she played the lead in the 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow opposite John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking perhaps her most well-known role to date as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade playing opposite Harrison Ford. Doody appeared alongside Sean Connery in the film and played the role of her father in the film. Doody was a part of Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries which was a British mini-series inspired by Hitler Diaries. Following her move to Hollywood Doody was a star. She was chosen to succeed Cybill Shepherd as spokesperson for L'Oreal She went on to appear alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery his girlfriend and agent. Doody made her acting comeback in 2003 when she played a minuscule role as a character in the British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at the awards ceremony. Her roles include the TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines in 2004, a booklet about the Holocaust as well as an animated short called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody appeared as a character in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. The Clinic, a medical drama that aired on RTE. The Asphyx was the 2011 version of her film. Pam Jefferson, the character that she played in the comedy series E4's Beaver Falls during its first season, which ran for two years. In 2014 she starred in We Still Kill the Old Way. On 21 November 2018 she was awarded by the Almeria the tierra de cine prize and she received the honor of a star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
