Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop boy
band formed in 2009. The group is made up of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow,
Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega. The group initially signed with Nick
Records in 2009 before transferring to Columbia Records. The group was on
Nickelodeon's TV show Big Time Rush. The show aired from November 28th from
2009 to July 25, 2013. The pilot episode included "Big Time Rush" the
group's debut promotional single. The group released three studio albums: BTR
in 2010 and Elevate (2011) as well as 24/Seven (2013). In 2014, the group was
on a hiatus which lasted until 2021. The band resumed live shows in the studio,
and then released "Call It Like It's Like It's Looking". Nickelodeon
signed Big Time Rush to a record deal in 2009 simultaneously with the tv show,
Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon also teamed up with Columbia/Epic Label Group for
production and original music. For the show, their debut single, "Big Time
Rush", was released on November 29, 2009. The announcement was made by
Nickelodeon the series first shown in the U.S. in November 2009, until it was
eventually launched worldwide. The show premiered during a one-hour special
trailer for the series and is currently the show's main theme. There were
promotional singles made available by the show, including "City is
Ours" (with Big Time Rush) and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush
also covered a Play song called "Famous". The song was released to
iTunes on the 29th of June, 2010. Another song, "Halfway There", was
released to iTunes on April 27, 2010 after its premiere in the series. The band
soon became their first charting track on the Billboard Hot 100. It hit 93 on
the list thanks to digital sales. To celebrate their debut album, Big Time Rush
released "Till I Forget about You" on the 21st of September 2010.
BTR, the album BTR came out on the 11th of October on the 11th of October, the
11th of October. The album reached number 3 on Billboard 200 and sold 67,000
copies in its first week.
