Will Ferrell

Will Ferrell rose to fame as a part of the cast of 'Saturday Night Live,' before appearing in such large-screen comedies as 'Elf,"Anchorman," "Talladega Nights.' Will Ferrell was born in Irvine in 1967. He started his comedy career as member the Los Angeles-based group The Groundlings. After his successful seven-year tenure as a performer on Saturday Night Live, he became one of the movie industry's biggest comedic draws through off-color movies like Old School (2003) and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004). Ferrell was a co-founder of Funny or Die, a popular website for streaming videos. Ferrell also had his success as a voice actor in animated films like Megamind (2010). John William Ferrell was conceived in Irvine, California on July 16 1967. Will Ferrell is the oldest child of Righteous Brothers keyboardist Lee Ferrell (and Kay Ferrell), however, he was not exactly the class clown when he was at University High School. The quiet and studious Ferrell made his mark on the field of football, where he set a school record for most field goals scored. Even in the more comfortable confines of his suburban home, Ferrell displayed little of the outrageous, humorous exclamations that would later determine his career. His mother who was interviewed by Esquire she said that her son was pleasant and kind. "You do you know those little Matchbox cars? Will will be very happy if he lined up all his Matchbox cars by himself. You'd ask, 'Do you want to go to Disneyland today, or line up your cars?' He'd need to think about it. Ferrell was not a perfectly straight man however that doesn't mean to say he was not. When he made the daily announcements through the PA system, a glimpse of his comedy talents was revealed every day at high school. Ferrell earned his degree from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles in 1986. He was a member of Delta Tau fraternity, and was pursuing a degree in sports journalism.
