Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn (born May 12 1972) is an American actress from the United States. Her most well-known character is the role of Kim Wexler, an attorney in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), where she has twice been awarded the Satellite Award as Best Supporting Actress for a series, Miniseries or Television Film. She's also been in NBC's Whitney (2011)-2013 as well as ABC's I'm with Her(2003)-2004 and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011)-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn, a Norfolk native, was born May 12, 1972. Her mother worked as an executive assistant for the United States Navy, and her father was an agent of the Naval Investigative Service. She was raised in a household which moved frequently, including in Washington, D.C., Arizona as well as Japan. At a very young age, she was inspired by her grandfather and grandmother to pursue a career in drawing, painting and architecture. She continued to pursue the visual arts, however, she had an increased interest in acting and was exposed to contemporary theater during her college. She graduated with a BA in Studio Art from George Mason University in 1994. Seehorn who was studying in college she wanted to pursue a career in theater after being urged by her teacher in acting. To make her stand out she did other roles in D.C.'s theatre industry. She eventually got important roles in local theater productions but had for odd jobs in order to make ends meet as she landed roles in a variety of short industrial instructional films. Then she was involved in more TV productions. Her role was often compared to Bea Arthur, whom was described by her as "very humorous," "sarcastic, and very intelligent" women. These roles are usually ended after only one or two seasons. Seehorn was selected to play Kim Wexler on the Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul in May 2014. Seehorn plays Kim Wexler, who is a lawyer , and also the love of Jimmy McGill/SaulGoodman (Bob Odenkirk).
