Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born 18 November 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordinand at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix realized early on that she had a talent for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After a few weeks of the first time she tried out, she was ranked second for 200m at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed her high school education and was signed to a pro-contract to Adidas. In 2004, she began her studies at the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.18. In 2005, she was the youngest 200-meter world champion in the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007, defeating her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was a frequent competitor in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She was consistently within the top three places of the events.
