Arnel Pineda

Arnel Pineda is a Filipino artist and singer who made waves in the Philippines in the 1890s, and internationally in 2007 as the new lead singer of the American rock band Journey. Arnel is 54 as of 2021, he was born Arnel Campaner Pineda on September 5, 1967, in Tondo, Manila, Philippines. His birthday is celebrated on the 5th of September each year. Arnel turns 55 on September 5 2022. His birth sign is Virgo. Arnel stands 5 feet 4 inches (164cm) in height. Following the death his mother, his family was in debt. His father who was six months behind on his rent and could not meet the needs of his family was forced to seek out relatives to help Arnel's siblings. Seeing the condition, Arnel quit school and began to work to alleviate his father's burden. Arnel was born in Tondo, Manila at St. Jude Thaddeus Diagnostic Center. Arnel was encouraged by his mother to sing when he was still young. His parents signed him up to participate in singing contests. His mother passed away from heart disease at the age of 13. His family was left with debt following the loss of his mother. Since his father , who was six months behind on his rent and was also unable to pay his family with food, his father made the decision to ask his relatives to help take in Arnel's siblings. Arnel has three siblings: Roderick Pineda, Joselito Pineda, and Russmon Pineda. Arnel was aware of the gravity of his situation and decided to leave school in order to ease the burden of his father. Arnel had to endure two years of sleeping in the streets. He slept wherever was possible such as in parks or on narrow benches outside of crowded houses. He took glass bottles, newspapers, and scrap metals and sold them to recyclers. Arnel also worked odd jobs such as docking ships and cleaning scrap metal. Arnel is married to Cherry Pineda. In 2001, the couple got married. The couple has been blessed with two children one daughter (Thea Chenelle Pineda) and a son (Cherub). Arnel is also blessed with Matthew and Angelo, two of his older sons.
